Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in her dance studio run by her mother. She made her television debut at the age of 2 in the form of a young child in the Don Mahoney, Kiddie Trooper Show. She was 13 when, having ten years of vocal and dancing instruction in her past, she and her mother went back to L.A. for a year to find out if they could pursue a career in show business. In just two short months she landed her first paying job singing on the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. She claims that she's employed her dancing and singing talents in numerous ways. It's an excellent discipline for actors." O'Toole's first role on screen in My Three Sons was followed by parts in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She was also on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. One of her greatest loves, despite her successes in film and on television, is theatre. Following her stint of six years on Smallville she decided to focus on theater and acting, which she'd been doing over the last decade. The first time she auditioned in New York led her to be chosen to play The Sea Gull. She has appeared in a variety of off-Broadway productions, such as Adam Rapp's Kindness as well as Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
