Lesley-Ann Brandt was born Cape Town, South Africa on 2 December 1981. She is a model and actress best known for her roles in television and film. Brandt, who began her career as an actor in the new Zealand's Diplomatic Immunity sitcom, made her American debut in the role as Naevia in the historical show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Since then, Brandt has been featured in many television shows, including those that of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies and The Librarians. Brandt was first introduced to the role of Mazikeen (the character that was played by Tom Ellis Lauren German, as well as Kevin Alejandro) in the urban-fantasy series Lucifer at the beginning of 2016. Brandt was raised as a child in Cape Town South Africa. Later, in her late teens she immigrated with her family to Auckland New Zealand. Brandt's profession began as a model when she appeared in television commercials and magazine ads. Prior to becoming an infamous model, Brandt was employed as a retail salesperson and as a recruiter for the information technology industry. In the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity, where she played Leilani F'auigaese in 2009, her debut role taken on. In 2021, she had her first big appearance in Spartacus Blood and Sand on Starz. She played a slave girl named Naevia. As well, she has been playing the role of Naevia since the prequel Miniseries Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker starred alongside her in three television shows: Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). The role she was playing first came to her in Mazikeen as a demon who hunts for bounty in Netflix's top show Lucifer. It's her biggest role to date. The series stars Tom Ellis Lauren Gerber Kevin Alejandro D. B. Woodside as well as D. B. Woodside.
