Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. The budget of her was augmented by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied with her performance compared to that of her classmates. She began considering other options. Lennox played flute in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. The main part of her role was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her solo debut album Diva. It came out in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. This E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. In the late 70s, she achieved minor fame as part in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva featured a number of hit tracks, such as Why the World is Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album features cover versions of popular tracks like No MoreI Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own, plus one compilation album to her credit.
